hello infection

Last Friday, hus took a last min half day leave to go contractor shopping with me. We are getting our new house keys in January. So we hope to be quite prepared by the collection of keys. We left Kayla at my mum's, Thad in school and we went all the way to the east to see a renovation company. Half way thru the discussion, Thaddeus' teacher called saying Thaddeus complained of pain in the right ear, but he was okay. 30 mins later, teacher called again saying he couldn't fall asleep and still complaining abt the pain in the right ear. Another 30 mins past, teacher asked us to pick him up early as he's crying for mommy.
My heart skipped a beat but the lengthy salesman rattled off. Hus & I began to look impatient and rushed off as soon as we could.
Upon arrival at school, the handsomest Thaddeus greeted us with the sweetest smile and we didn't hear of the pain again. We took the opportunity to spend some time alone with him, hus & I enjoyed our boy like he was younger. He looked like he was happy having both of our undivided attention. We then went back to my mum's.
We took him to the doctor with Kay who was due for vaccination. To our biggest surprise, the doctor found a bad middle ear infection. It should be bothering him for 2 days and he will soon have a fever.
Then he did. Fever overcame him at wee hours of Sunday and it is still hanging around. He missed school today and maybe tmr. Kayla indulged in the love-hate relnship with the sickly Thaddeus. She disturbed him so badly that he said I dun want 妹妹。
I asked if he wanna give 妹妹 away, he cried saying "no, mommy dun give 妹妹 to uncle." His body language was almost begging and big tears streamed down his cheeks. A kind of live-hate relnship that warms my heart... Deeply.
