retail therapy

I dun remember when was the last shopping entry... It must have been too long... We did some today that's blog worthy. Almost everyone get something today. Hus bought a belt and jeans, not featured because it's going thru alteration. Thaddeus gets a pair of new shoes. He's been wearing 2 pairs of shoes for the past 1.5 yrs, his feet haven't grow much. And he just outgrown a pair so ... A pair of new shoes. "ding" (wand swing to abacadebra effect) new shoes!

I got 4 new basic tee. Yeah! After much urging, I listened to hus for not buying the bigger size. Since pregnancy, I've been buying bigger and looser. So... It's 2nd nature. Time to get over the preggy days. I dun even have a baby now. I have 2 tods which made shopping on weekends easier now. Even Kay is walking... Busy and less busy coincide... Well, if u understand, you're a mother. If u dun, go be a mother. Although eye rings come with it, those happiness and satisfaction are no where else to be found. Oh yes, let me also remind you abt the wrinkles.. smiles put them there while you're enjoying your children.

First and foremost, I will like to thank hus for buying me a phone. It's a not too bad phone but ... It's not doing well in blogging. Not yet, hopefully..
Because blogging is a large component of my usage of phone, I couldn't stop lamenting. I miss my laughable non-smart e71.
I thought smart phones ain't named correctly. Sigh...
My desire s doesn't load the Blogger page well. Hence putting pictures caused a super delay. Then it has a lot of pre-loaded applications that are not useful to me, saved in phone memory, that can never be removed.
That said, I wouldn't prefer an i-phone. I'm so hard to pleased... I know!

new phone

if there isn't any entry tmr...
It could be:
- I haven get my new phone which is supposed to arrive before 12pm
- I dunno how to use it
- It got hijacked by kids or hus
- I'm still trying to finish my household chores.

I'm missing my current phone now when i'm typing this. My E71 has served me well and I love the qwerty keypad, I hope the full touch screen is not too difficult to get use to. It's been 21 months since my last touch phone.

Anw, just wanna share Thad's latest words.
- I don't want (the overused and most annoying word for mummy now)
- Audrey
- aymon (raymond)
- geela (kayla)
- sister
- angry bird
- lrt

What's added on to us this weekend?

What did we do this weekend?

We did shopping... Saturday, we took Thaddeus on public transport to Orchard... We bought lots of things despite not driving... The ease of not driving (the high parking cost) has given us lots of shopping opportunity.

Hus bought 3 new shirts.

Thad has a new pair of white pants, a pair of sandals and a pair of new shoes(not featured).

3 more pairs of pants for Thad on sunday. We bought the shorts in the furthest right, Ah yi Janna bought him everything else in this photo

I bought a wallet using a voucher i won at my Company's D&D last year. I needed a lot more card compartment since the arrival of Thaddeus.. Lots of discount cards... so aunty.

Hus has 2 new pair of Bermudas. He loves the comfy touch of these...

A GATE! to safeguard our active son from our grill-less window at 11th floor.

Last but certainly not the least... A little dress on offer for our going-to-arrive girl.

I'm so counting down to see her.

Spree!

Not exactly one… I just bought a polo tee for Hus and 2, TWO, sexy briefs… Haha. Cos he complained that he dun have enough briefs to wear… But that’s so not true lor. HAHA!

The polo Tee is chilli red in colour. The same red as his uniform… I dint actually wanted to buy that cos of the similarities in colour but it’s been too many times since I failed getting him something. Has been thinking abt it for a long time, went for a few shopping trips but went home empty-handed.

At Paragon yesterday, it was the only top that caught my eye. So whatever, Hus is wearing it definitely.. hee hee. I’ll make him wear and take pic for you k? Hmm… the briefs too?...
i like the tic-tac-toe at the back of the
polo Tee!!!!! Can play on it during
church service... haha!

Sunday

Hus and i went to church in the morning. Nothing too unusual through out the day until the evening, I went grocery shopping in the rain with dad’s van. *weet* grocery shopping has never been easier with a vehicle… I dun need Hus to drive me there and
make him impatient when I have to go to 3 shops to get different things at each lowest price. Hee!

Me and the twin tanks... it's abt 26kg on my back...

Hus appeared together with my diving instructor at my place late in the evening. I had to finish doing my laundry and start on the basic of technical diving

–Equipment Configuration.

Pretty smooth for me since I’m not under stress and on LAND. I’ve heard a lot of discussions and got a personal tutor, that’s why I’m quite smooth as my instructor went on. Lesson ended abt 12midnight… *nitez*

Another blue day awaits me! I woke up with multiple eyelids… sharks! Signs of fatigue… and aging… I hope it’s the former!

Saturday

Was the day to gather at Meidera with my extended family for dinner and a monthly birthday celebration. It’s a potluck style of food preparation and I’m in charge of seafood this month, that’s why I need a vehicle. I’m going marketing without hus… scared. I got Deroy to help me cos I have the intention to buy live seafood and I’m really scared of moving animals.

in the end, I still dint get the moving ones, I was too scared. So we got the fresh ones but not the fighting-to-survive ones. *timid* Deroy helped me a lot in the kitchen while I prepared the 2 fish and prawns. I fried fish served with sweet and sour sauce. 2 types of prawns: cheese prawn and garlic butter steam prawns. All done in 2 hours, all thanks to Deroy. *kudos to man in the kitchen*

We arrived at Meidera a little late but dinner hasn’t start bcos there’s a no. of late-comers. Jarek was playing with the children again, he’s a very tall sec 2 brother of mine. He always plays with children as though he’s really interested in their not-so-interesting games. But he would do it to make them happy.
==============================================
[my 2 brothers]

I love my 2 brothers, they’ve never hesitated to help me or be nice to me. When they were young, they will always say that I’m their favourite sister; maybe I rarely scold them and they thought I was pretty. Now there’s no apparent difference in how they treat us, we’re all princesses with them around.

I’m not so much a disciplinary role amongst the 3 sisters, which I’m thankful the other 2 were. If not, I would have naughty and defiant brothers. My 2 sisters have higher expectation of their conduct and performance. Now the 5 of us are really really close cos of how we were brought up and how we stood for each other during “storms”.

The 2 men-in-making are big boys already; they’re tall and stronger so they’ll carry the heavy things while the sisters shopped. Ain’t we so blessed with them?

==============================================================================

Back to the gathering, my cheese prawns was popular but the garlic ones weren’t. Deroy and Jarek became table policemen to catch the greedy ones who took extra servings without giving others a chance to taste one… haha.

August was Chai Yi and my birthday month, we had carrot and walnut cake… *yum yum* but that turned Hus into a Fart Monster… his stomach reacts badly with nuts!

I'm one lucky GIRL with such loving family... and farty Hus

Friday... Saturday

Hus was on 1st shift on Friday, so he picked me up from work and we headed home. We took a while to decide what to do for the evening; we took a long walk to Holland Village from our place.
We cut across Singapore Polytechnic to get closer to Buona Vista… That part was like the nicest part abt the whole walk that day. I was feeling totally nostalgic. But while I was enjoying that part, Hus was pretty uncomfortable as he thought he looked too old to be a student. SP’s structural design also unsettled him; it’s not too hard to get lost in it as it’s an old school so the buildings are built at different time. It built on a slope therefore from the 3rd floor of one building will lead to a 2nd or a 1st of the other…
AWW… I miss campus life.

We had Thai Express for dinner, yummy! The walk was like a diving theory lesson, Hus was lecturing tech lesson during such romantic atmosphere… *sigh* but I enjoyed it… it kept my head spinning. I think my thinking process is quite fast because hus has never stop reminding me of equipment configuration and it has deeply registered in my head. Familiarity works on land.

I’m gonna try diving doubles on Wed… A little worried, I think I have problem handling the weight on land, I’m not sure abt in water… keep you updated…
=====================================================================

I fried my guo tie for hus for breakfast on sat… that made a huge mess in my kitchen.. It splattered so much bcos of the water trapped in the dumplings during boiling…

Look decent right?

Hus say the skin should be saltier, but over all it’s still okay… YES! at least he dint make some ridiculous discouraging remark. Love the Man! *wink*

After Hus went to work, I started on something really cool… Daddy picked me up and let me have his van for the day to drive around. He first took me to Katong to retrieve his lorry.

I was scared but excited..
Dad actually sent his van for a thorough check on Friday
so that i might have a safe drive, I'm so blessed!

This first drive from Katong to Jurong, I was really scared, was perspiring so much. I was right behind Daddy’s lorry. Even I drove along my favourite ECP, I dint have the time to enjoy it.

After Daddy topped up our tanks, I’m good to go alone. I then drove to KK hospital to pick Janna up. The road was pretty conjested… Gosh, with a hard clutch, I get pretty tone left calf… Hee!
I thought I was darn cool once I got used to handling that van… A small girl in a big Hyundai H100. *applause*

I drove to Marina Square, parked and lunched with Hus and Jan… That it followed by

RETAIL THERAPY!!!!

I bought 2 T-shirts… one writings supposed to complement Jan’s.

Hers says, “Dun Blame me. my evil Twin did it!”

And mine obviously says, “I’m the Evil Twin!”

Clearly, Janna is the evil one to make me buy the evil one… *duh!*

The other T-shirt says, “Men are like Lava Lamps, NICE to Look At, not too bright…” I love the words in this.

Then I also bought a pair of sneakers which I absolutely love. Converse; nice and casual.

and this skirt from Bods... it has pretty unique seams... that's why i bought it...

K-BASH!!!
Then Jan and I went back to CCK to pick Sista, Tao Rong and Deroy up for a KTV session at Chevron… It’s only for 3 hrs but we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves… unsung selections usually make us go singing again soon and we have more than a page unsung.

This is Sista and bro-in-law's 1st time on my driven vehicle.

Lazying through...

Hus was off on Friday. We had dinner with FIL at Clementi Central. The usual BBQ seafood hotplate stall which wasn't so good already. BOYCOTT!!

Then we made plans to catch movie with Jan and Enoch, our usual movie khaki. We watched a magnificent graphic, action packed film... totally enjoyed it, especially in the Prince Theatre, Shaw Tower. Big theatre with very long australian binds...

But the journey back was... tiring. we took a bus that take us to Ghim Moh. Then walk all the way back home... haha. not too long in the chilly evening breeze but will be miles away in the day definitely.

MUST WATCH!

We only rested abt 2am... so we slept into the mid morning on saturday. It started with laundry for me, and we had brunch at uncle's kway chap stall again... Boo to Hus. he loves everything that's cook and soaked in dark sauce... since Hus know abt my uncle's stall, I have never crave for it. Cos Hus' cravings hit him at a higher frequency...

MUST EAT!! Tong Lok Kway Chap at pepys, along Pasir PanJang Road.

After Kway Chap, we went VivoCity for grocery and bought 2 VCDs for our STAY-IN Saturday... to ease Hus' blues from work on sunday and to hide from the hazy weather.

We watched the highly recommended 200 pound beauty... hilarious, but it's not teary like i was warned...

We ate and ate during the show... totally filled at the end of it, but we still home-cooked dinner. we had japanese curry in Udon and Kailan as our vitamin dish.

Full and FAT!!! but i like home cooked food, i like snack but not the aftermath of it. WHO DOES right?

====================================================================

30th June was the day where there was celebration at the National Stadium to close it down for a huge revamp. There was a major performance by ex-soccer players, I can't name them except Fandi Ahmad and David Lee. The rest i can't spell, *apologies*. Guest appearance of Kit Chan, Hus' fave, she sang and hosted by Gurmit.

Then it followed by an International Friendly with Australia. I was sucked into the screen when Harry Kewell came in in the 2nd half.

Harry Kewell (born September 22, 1978 in Smithfield, Sydney), is an Australian football (soccer) player who currently plays for Liverpool F.C. in the English Premier League. An exceptional dribbler on the wing also capable of playing as an attacking midfielder and as a second striker, he is often regarded within the media as "Australia's finest football export", despite his career being blighted with injury. Against Croatia he scored the crucial goal to get Australia through to the knockout stages of the 2006 World Cup. He is a member of the Executive Committee of the Australian Professional Footballers' Association. - adapted from wikipedia .

I salivate and drool so much that Hus has to mop the floor... haha. No lah, the irony: I was watching soccer while Hus mopped the floor. I dint ask him to...
By the way, Singapore lost the match despite the home ground advantage... the Aussie were perspiring like mad due to the humidity but they still won... We our last match in the National Stadium.. *bo swee lah*

I was feverish on Sunday... i went to AOG then to FCCS. It was a slow sunday and i was feverish... I got home abt 7pm, did a bit of cleaning and went for a jog. I like the sweaty rosy cheeks after exercising. A little nauseous after it, but fever is gone*echo "ggoonneee"*...

i like the rosy cheeks during fever.

on other days, i have yellowish skin. looks sickly

Lastly, Janice and Timothy is down with flu. Pray for them k? when mum and baby is ill, daddy will go hungry. so PRAY for the Cheng Family... we miss the Cheng cheng... *the cymbals clang*

MUST PRAY!!!
