just writting them down...

Good Monday!!! Well, it's an okay monday for me. I'm all alone in the lab; boss is on sick leave. It's a busy monday, hence time is passing quite fast for me. *excited*- it's lunch in 20mins and knocking off in 4 hrs...with a busy afternoon, it'll soon be over.

I had a long and tedious weekend, but i enjoyed it anyway. Friday, we had dinner with Uncle Yam's family. He gave us a treat cos it's his 54th birthday. I forgot to take photo again, good food & bad memory dun work. Hus picked me up from the place we're dining at despite not really sure of the location and tired after work. *I feel blessed with this man sometimes*

Saturday
Hus and i turned on the air-conditioner on friday so that we can sleep later and not be woken up by the rising sun. Hus was also off, the rare chance where we can sleep to a later timing together. I slept only 30min later than the usual time i wake up, which is 6.30am, but i woke up naturally. -that makes a whole lot of differences.
I did laundry the first thing. I wanted to save the water from the 2nd rinse of the clothings to wash the toilet, a earth day movement, but it created alot of mess when it overfilled. *sigh* Hus and i started the cleaning day a little early. I washed the kitchen while Hus washed the toilet. We're done in less than 2 hours; famished.

Our adventure hunt for food. Despite Hus was complaining abt hunger, he suggested that we take a walk down the other side of our house, which is west coast or clementi ave 7. We wanted to look for food and new places to get grocery. We took a rather long walk when finally come to the heart of the district, it's lively and has a very old estate feel. The market is old, the consumers are old.

Hus' Reconnaissance
We had brunch before we started skirting the place. Hus spotted peeps holding Sheng Siong plastic bags... He followed the "moving advertisements" until we came to a secluded corner of the town but packed with many peeps. It's Sheng Siong! not a very big one but a very useful. It has fresh produce as fresh as they're still moving... scary right? I wouldn't go there without Hus, cos the pple there are quite aggressive and i'm scared of the live seafood. I'm afraid that they might jump on me or what. Very scared, the sight of those makes my legs wobbly.

So my hero Hus had to hold his ridiculous wife tightly while walking thru the wet areas of Sheng Siong. *bleh, i know i'm lousy*
That only ended our 1st half of the day...

At abt 2pm, we went back to Woodlands to get Fil's car cos we need to buy book shelves for the room. IKEA again... got 2 book-shelves and left... okay okay, and some other things... Get back home, unload the shelves at home. Then headed to Sheng Siong and bought the food for the party on sunday for the current & ex YF-ers(YF-youth fellowship). MAD RUSH!!
And it's not over... After unloading the food, we had to get to Aunt Alice house @ Meidera for a gathering. Nothing too exciting, we celebrated 2nd aunty(mmm), Uncle Yam & Uncle Winson's birthday. Hus and i had to rush back bcos we need to fix our study room up for the guests on Sunday.
We worked to 2am in the morning. Hus turned a little grouchy when he's tired... like a little boy, but he's not tacky when he's hungry ;)

Sunday
Although we slept that late, we still made it for church at 9am. I always enjoy going church with Hus. It's nice to worship together, God is one biggest common thing that we share; diving is probably 2nd.
We had to get home asap after church so we did breakfast and went back. We started our Insane cleaning again. Guests were coming in at 3pm and we haven clean windows, vaccum and mop the floor. And food preparation. Mayb and Tao Rong came earlier, so they helped us dumped our big "unwants" downstairs.

*BIG THANK YOU*
*our 3rd common thing: absolute suckers for clean and neat house* although we dun have much time, the cleaning was still thorough.

After finishing my part of cleaning, I quickly started on food preparation. Then it's never-ending until the night around 10pm. Loads of food to prepare, my guests consisted of many growing ladies and gentlemen. It's not easy to feed them...

I was quite upset with Hus in the evening. He totally leave me to entertain the guests, he rather stay stuck to a slow computer with a near-crashing network... I was a little angry, but got over it as soon as baby prissy comes... She's such a darling!

*sorry abt the lack in pix on this account, i was too busy with my guest. no pix taken from the day. will try to look for pix from my guests to be uploaded*
After the hectic weekend, Hus and i finally got a working home. Everything now is in place... The study is neat and the books are nicely arranged. The kitchen is now a working kitchen, not a crippled one anymore... simply love this house and this hus!
