Granny had chosen to leave us in this crazy world while she finds comfort in God... i know very well that she's suffering every min during her last days. So much pain and helplessness. I know she held on for as long as she could.
We've lost her...
I received a call at 6am Friday(4th May) from Mayb, sistar, saying Granny was in a critical condition. Hus and i rushed down hoping to see her last. We dint make it, none made it. The last person at her bed is 3rd uncle who left at 5.30am after seeing her fall asleep. When he's on his way back, the hospital called and asked him to come back, he rang everyone and hop onto the opposite direction train and back to the hospital.
Everyone suspected that granny has chosen that time to let go because she doesn't want too much emotional baggages. Ultimately, she's going to a better place, though i think she deserve a spanking when i see her in heaven. She had left all of us unprepared and she hadn't hear our last words...
I couldn't help but think that her biggest worry was still her husband, since Grandpa is bed-ridden and she had never been away from this sickly old man. She had served him to the fullest all her married life. Her kids were her next to most important and her grandchildren, her reward. Even when she's sick, she made sure Shirley(domestic help) cooked for us... A super duper care-giver.
I'm glad she's been given release to the pain, and in the ever comforting Father's arms. I'm sure she now tells God to take care of us repeatedly and constantly praying that we might not get lost in our faith and the pre-believing uncles and aunt would eventually meet her in heaven too.
My upsets: she left while she's in the hospital when she wants to be discharged so badly. I dint get the chance to say goodbye.
I wouldn't be affected this much should this happened yrs ago when she still loves us differently. The daughters' children and the sons'. But she's now totally different, that makes me feel exceptionally saddened by her abrupt departure.
We'll miss you Granny.
