the boys' progress

this was their pool session... then Hus pushed them real hard. By the 2nd pool session...
They were introduced the basic 5... Yao Ming wasn't as comfortable as the other 2 but on the whole, this group is superb... Hus thought so too.

But Hus was really very strict with them... but his efforts had reap much!



this is the 1st dive.

it's abt 24 mins as Jarek's mask broke and Yao Ming couldn't equalise and he felt terrible..
Hus took over the broken mask and clear 2 million times in 24mins of dive...

We ascended to get adjusted, and the whole trip went really well. For all the dives; in trim tackled all the tasks put across... but what made Hus really mad is...

Their HANDS!!! They are moving too much... but after a dramatic (literally) telling off... they were all good by 4th dive.



This is the 2nd dive, Deroy is already in trim... He has little hand movement and look really good for the 2nd time in sea... one of the more competent divers









This is Yao Ming. Although he's not a competitive swimmer by training... his comfort level in water wasn't too far from the other 2...

He always keep his trim in check, perfecting his skills at every dives... an adorable attitude towards learning...

He prefers to swim as the last man, maybe he need to reference the kicks... But he's doing fine le

Cleared all the skills smoothly.. Just an open water diver.

This is Jarek, he sometimes dropped his knees but he sure knows how to have fun in water...

He has to be more calm to take challenges/tasks given to him, he's panicky when the tank is almost empty... then because of that, he can't really hold his trim at the stops...

But generally this class is very remarkable... performed under much pressure and stress... In trim and buoyancy at the end of the weekend...

Wat can you say abt the instructor? He's THE INSTRUCTOR...

He knows when to push and when not to... somehow he gave me the feeling that he might have a way with these delinquents, they seemed to have attendance problem in school. But they are really serious when Hus taught them diving. Open water; they are able to gear themselves up and plan dives... Keeping good trim when dealing with tasks...

It's evident that they are much better when another group of student swam past them. I'm sure Hus was very proud of his students who do NO damage to the ocean...

I'm too very proud of Hus... Not only he produce good students, he made them understand the severity when the protocols aint met. this made abiding rules reasonable. Hus, in every area, a man who leads by example. He taught good trim, he practised it. He say smoking and drinking clashes with serious diving, he too avoid these things. Above all, he remembers his stuff, pple calls to ask abt things that they've learnt and forgotten. Hus has become the automated DIR diving reference... Luckily, his phone contract is on free incoming calls. haha
