loving beyond words

Kayla is a fortunate little girl, being the youngest, we often give in to her. For peace and tranquility, for love and patience, for whatever... She gets it her way a lot.
If u think it is hus & I who have been doing that, you couldn't be "wronger".. Thaddeus was the little damaging (more than spoiling) older brother.
2 days ago, Kay was throwing some tantrums that she threw away whatever she held in her hands with all her mousey might. To us, that behaviour was unacceptable, hus stooped low and said "i want you to pick those up."
Kayla ignored and continued fussing in the living room.
Thad and I were in the kitchen, Thad asked "why is 妹妹 crying?"
"papa scold her for throwing things on the floor..." I replied
He stood up from his chair, walked towards his father, raised his arm signalling stop and said "i help 妹妹 ok?"
Hus was amazed and thought I had asked Thaddeus to intervene, and I said I didn't. Hus was moved beyond words, and did Kay thank her older brother... Not a tinge of gratitude, she continued her tantrums...
And yesterday, while we were walking back from school, Thad and Kay were so distracted to walk to the elevator. They were looking at a man flattening some cans with a hammer, it wasn't the 1st time they see it, they are still curious like cats. So mommy was impatient walking at snail pace, I let go of their hands and said "the lift is here, I'll leave without you."
My little boy realised nobody was holding his beloved sister; he ran up and held her hand, then both of them continued on the distracted journey. Eyes to the side and trying to walk towards mommy. So mommy took pictures. Whahaha.
Thaddeus is a protective brother and I feel great abt it. There was once there was man who was touching Kay's cheeks and hands saying she is adorable, and Thad stared at him firmly, then said "no touch 妹妹。" Although I was embarrassed by his hostility, I'm glad for a son who watches over the sister this way. If you are thinking Kayla is one blessed young lady, I am a more blessed old lady. How can sibling rivalry be so easy?
