I was pleased as though I was crowned mother of the year when teacher Eunice said "... in fact, he's adapting very well now. We should be able to try napping next week."
I walked out of school elated.
Then everything changed almost immediately; Thaddeus dint wanna walk on his own. He wanted to be carried so we a 15 mins walk became a 25 mins walk. I kid you not...
There was tug-of-war when we're going up the stairs at the over head bridge. Then I dint slow down so he had to catch up with me (i dint wanna do that at the stairs in case of accidents). Then he pulled a stunt at the climbing down, he was playing with the water left on the railing after the rain, the next thing he did was... Put his fingers right into his mouth!
Gosh! Did I complain how easy Thad fall ill? That's bcos he's the most willing party who ingest every infection, virus, etc... That drove me nuts, and there I was shouting at him at the over head bridge.
The huge delay and the earlier rain had made us buffet for the mosquitoes. I came back with a few bites, Thad also have 1. And have I ever mention our record of dengue in our estate?
Back at home, I showered my boy and he's going to nap. Back to the sweet little boy I always knew.
Hopefully, it's the weather that made him too tired to behave properly, I cannot imagine doing this for a few more times. Maybe napping bfor coming home might help.
