School after a 2 days break and a lot of fun during the weekends. Usually this gives me a bad monday blues, I can forgive Thad if he has some form of negative reaction.
Thru out the weekend, when hus and I talked abt school, we'll hear "NO!!!" from Thaddeus, despite his very good day in school on friday.
When we packed his bag, together with him (just to prepare him, surprises dun work well with him), he kept putting his bag back in the cabinet. Then we packed it anyway and prayed with him bfor he slept. He's prepared for school since last night.
He woke up at 7am, just as we planned. I changed him very slowly after much cuddling. Then I took off his pajama (pants), he shouted "wear this, wear this", holding on to his pants. I left him alone then try again moments later. He then let me change his bottom. I removed his top smoothly but putting on was a bigger challenge. I put on with much struggle and I said "papa is going to work, Thaddeus will be bored at home" also said "do u remember the painting you did for mummy? Teacher put colours on your hand and your printed on mummy's card?" "you'll get 2 candies when mummy pick u up after lunch." I then left him alone again.
I did some chores in the kitchen; walked into the room a few times to see him holding onto his pillow facing down. After i'm done with chores, I walked into the room, sat down beside him saying "can mummy wear your shoes for u?" while I expected a big "NO" and some wailing, he sat up, hugged me and said yes softly.
I took him out, put on his shoes and he's ready to go. He looked sad but was willing to go to hus. I handed him 2 biscuits and said "see you after lunch."
Thad left with hus... I must say I dint expect it as easy as today. I thought it will have been very much tougher.
0810 hrs - a phone conversation with hus informed that the dropping off isn't totally smooth.
1230 hrs - I picked him from school at 1135 hrs. Waited a while outside the main door, not the one which I can peeped into the class activities. Teacher sam walked Thaddeus out and let me in. Thaddeus was smiling sweetly like friday. No signs of crying and that's what teacher told me. He cried when papa dropped him off and okay for most of the time there. Once in a while when he misses us, he'll go to his cubbie to carry his bag and water bottle.
Teachers will then remind him that I'll pick him up later after lunch. He'ld then put his barang back.
Teacher sam said he finished lunch and banana. They were teaching animals using pictures and he repeated the animal names with the teacher. When teacher sam asked "are you alright?"; he replied "alright" quickly. He then gave her a hug when teacher sam asked for it... He also bade goodbye quickly, grabbed my hand and headed for the door.
His daily reward... 2 legendary candies...
