Thad turned 6 months on Sunday

Thaddeus is 6 months old now. Time flies... Traces of the helpless, small and fragile baby boy is almost gone. He now plays by himself when you place him on the bed, he will not likely call for you for a much longer period. hold his head up well, roll on the bed without having his arms trapped... but he hasn't gain mobility, he hasn't start crawling.

We let him eat Chawamushi that day to commemorate him turning 6 months, hopefully he can start eating off our bowls... He hasn't been finishing his milk, and the intervals are much longer now. I think he now needs a lot more milk but he's now too distracted to finish his milk since it's taking more time to drink the larger portion.

We also brought him swimming that day. Initially he was a little scared, he turned totally quiet when his feet first touch the water. I think it's because of the temperature. It wasn't a hot day, it was raining before we got to the pool. We brought him anyway... we took a long time to "warm him up". we went from feet, to knee, to bottom, to tummy... then we put him in the the head float...

We prevented the water from getting to his head so that he won't catch a chill. From experience gathered in scuba diving, as long as you keep your head/hair dry, you won't feel quite as cold.

After a while, he got comfortable, he held onto his float and started kicking... but he only could move backwards, like doing a backstroke... I tried turning over, so that he moves forward... BUT... he'll switch himself to lie on the back again...

Well, i think it's a better experience for us than him... cos he dint smile much at the pool. while, we felt warm in our hearts seeing him growing so much everyday...

By the way, he knows how to shake hands already. I taught him last week, and constantly practising it with him so he remembers. When we put out our right hands, and say "shake hand", he'll put out his right hand too...
