Sulky Friday

I feel awful… The empty expressways, the quiet office and the little samples made my Friday unbearable. Yesterday was the National Day Holiday, schools are closed today too for the students who are involved in the parade. Why dint I get the day after national day off when I was in school?!! *miserable*

A lot of working adults therefore took a day’s leave to spend the long weekend out of Singapore. *SULK* No blues, no waking up early for them but a slow and dreadful for missy drey at work!

Why haven Hus wanna make me a homemaker? Or run some business from home?

I’m aching everywhere over my body, cos we had a game of basketball yesterday. Tao Rong, Sista, Sistie, Enoch, Deroy, Jarek, Daniel and Christine were at my place for a game of basketball then chill…

It’s the first time I played basketball with Hus… Haha, he was really like rumored, fast and sharp. But of course he argued to have deteriorated over the years and after his motorbike accident. But his speed had gained a high percentage of ball possession hence the many points he scored for his team. “out of 10 tries, you’ll at least get 1”, he said.

We were on the opposite team and we had a hard collision while he was charging in to score. It was a really hard one on my stomach (diaphragmatic muscle), I couldn’t stand for a couple of seconds bfor I was well enough to carry on the game. It happened too fast and too silent to see what happened. We were very serious in the game, alright? Everyone was shocked; they said both of us were running at full speed when the collision happened. That explains the excruciating pain at the point of time.

All of them lunched at my place, then chill. My house is quite boring, I can’t entertain them more than food…

Hus and I went to a church event in the evening; it’s supposed to be on a boat to see the fireworks at the National Day Celebration at Marina Bay. I visualized it as a romantic night. Board a nice cosy small boat, have some light food while it sail into the Singapore river really slowly and anchored to somewhere near to the Merlion and see the fireworks at abt 8pm.

It wasn’t anywhere close to that. Firstly, we got the tickets from mum. Thinking that she had gotten it for herself but can’t go, we stood up in her place. Then it wasn’t like that as most of my maternal relatives are there. Hence it’s noisy and un-romantic with so many talking pple on the bus.

Secondly, the boat is big, although cosy, and crowded; with lots of children running around and parents running behind them saying “no, no, no.” “where are you?”

Thirdly, the boat aint moving anywhere, it’s stuck at the New Marina South Pier, and we’re gonna see fireworks from where it was. DUH!!!

Lastly, the boat reception is bad, we can’t see the NDP on the TV on the boat. ***T! I feel so bad for asking Hus to come on board, he wouldn’t want to miss a second of the parade. He loves to see parades… Sucks! He wouldn’t have to miss it if not for me, and being trapped in that situation, I feel totally bad abt it. Thank you HUS!

But we did see some nice things like the many heli(SP, apache and the Cinoque(I dunno how to spell it, it’s the heli with 2 propellers) and the F-15s(not sure though). Very close, nice and loud.

*sorry, i know i look bad in the pix, the wind re-styled my hair too much*

During the whole time, I was spending time with Hus and feeling bad at the same time. I couldn’t help but think that he’s here and stayed here for me (we did contemplate to leave since the boat is docked), he must have doted on me much. *bliss*

This view from the top deck of the boat at dusk; the view from the same place after sunset.

Then of course the fireworks that lit the skies… Still love it as always.

And that ended our holiday, a bad way to end it. Now another dreadful workday for us!
