Let me do something usual before i start... reporting my lunch... I had Mee Rebus... A very small packet which i really like. A whole hard-boiled egg for protein, green chilli is probably the only source of Vitamins and mee as the CARBO... that's needless to say.
Dint wanted to eat lunch but after much thinking, i should have lunch then cook a much-craved soup and have it with Hus when he returned from work later... a mock shark-fins soup with yummylicious ingredients...
!!! THE SHOCKER !!!
No no, i'm NOT Pregnant... We're chosen for the SERS program - Selective En-Bloc Redevelopement Scheme, you can read abt it at the link below: http://www.hdb.gov.sg/fi10/fi10296p.nsf/PressReleases/616BF642045FB8D24825730800017955?OpenDocument

Hus got the letter that says, "congratulations, your flat is chosen.... yah lah dah, yah lah dah "
Stay closely to the pictures to understand better... the selected pink box is where i would most probably be on most of the time.
Our home now is situated here
It's now very nice because it's unblock and windy... got sea view and the serenity green right at the kitchen window. very nice. Well, it's quite far from the train station but there's a buses from most of the places to most of the places.
Our home now is situated here
Old flats are all loosely built hence windy and people can't really look into your house... another thing... Personal rubbish chute!
They are planning to move us to the opposite road instead of looking at Nan Hua High School's front gate, we're looking at their backside... looks pretty clustered together... the orange blocks in the picture is the designated flats.
They say it would provide more convenience, but this is the bus-stop i usually use...
But it's closer to the Train station(Clementi), and the town. I hope it wont be too noisy and happening... i prefer quiet home.
But they dint draw the current flats that are already there... Doesn't it mean that we will indefinitely be blocked?
And fitting 8 blocks of people into a much smaller space... i can imagine the space in between the blocks and the height of the flats that they are going to build to...
There's 2 ways to look at this-
Postive:
+ We're getting a new house
+ Straight, flat walls
+ Bigger rooms and smaller kitchen
+ Chance of getting a "upgrading", bigger house at a discount
+ Closer to the train station
+ Having a park next to the house
+ Elevators to every level
Negative:
- Got to pack and move again
- More Shopping, contractors, more choosing, spending and cleaning
- another settling down
- Blocked, no sea-view
- no personal rubbish chute
Is this good or bad really?
